The next Weekend Calligraphy Course at Beginner Level will start on 15th November

Hello Everyone,

We are pleased to let you know that Guanghwa Bookshop has organised a further Weekend on-site calligraphy course at Beginner Level which will start on Saturday 15th November from 14:00 to 16:00.

This course will run every Saturday for six weeks with each lesson being two hours. The venue is at the bookshop, and we will provide the materials for this course.

• Course Fee Options:
Full six-week course: £96
Flexible option: £18 per session
Please note: the flexible option is for those who cannot commit to all six sessions. You will still need to book the dates and pay in advance to secure your place for the sessions you wish to attend. Drop-ins on the day are not available.

• Calligraphy Course at Beginner Level - on how to write Regular Script
• This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as for those who have been learning Mandarin Chinese and are interested in learning more about Chinese calligraphy.
• Time: 14:00 to 16:00
• Dates: 15 Nov, 22 Nov, 29 Nov, 6 Dec, 13 Dec, 20 Dec

• Calligraphy Tutor: Mr Jian Chu Xu
Mr. Xu started to learn Chinese calligraphy in 1980 under supervision of late calligrapher Mr. Laoyun Yu who was a famous Chinese calligrapher. Mr. Xu is the chairman of the Chinese Poetry Calligraphy & Painting Society of UK, Honorary Principal of Shifu Art College of China. He received an excellence award in the Chinese calligraphy competition UK in 2011 and a special award in the international Chinese competition in 2014.
