Collection: Second-Hand Book

“Second Chapter”Project, initiated by Guanghwa Bookshop in March 2023, is a two-way donation initiative focused on Chinese-language printed books in the UK. It is currently expanding to include English-language books as well.

"Second Chapter" aims to provide Chinese-language readers in the UK with a more sustainable & affordable way to access Chinese-language printed books. It also offers a platform for donating and purchasing second-hand Chinese books. Our goal is to create a dynamic, localised reading environment while embodying Guanghwa Bookshop’s commitment to environmentally-friendly and sustainable operations.

Our Second Chapter project is proudly donated to:
The Mothers’ Bridge of Love (Charity Registration No. 1105543) Books for Kids project, supporting their mission to build up MBL International Children Library in impoverished regions in China.

Due to operational cost constraints, only a selection of rare and hard-to-find second-hand books are listed on our website. These titles are online exclusives. We warmly invite you to visit our physical shop, where you’ll find a much wider range of affordable second-hand books. Your support helps sustain our "Second Chapter" project.

“续篇”企划由光华书店创立、启动于2023月3月，是一项英国中文纸质书籍的双向捐赠企划，目前也正逐渐向英文书籍扩展中。

“续篇”企划旨在为在英国的中文书籍读者提供一个更方便、更可持续、更可负担得起的中文纸质书阅读方式，提供一个便于读者捐赠，同时便于购买二手中文书的平台。我们尝试营造一个流动的、“在地”的阅读环境，并实践光华书店环保与可持续的运营理念。

“续篇”企划所获得的部分利润已捐赠给母爱桥慈善组织（注册号码：1105543）儿童图书项目,以支持母爱桥在中国贫困地区建设母爱桥国际儿童图书馆。

由于经营成本的限制，光华书店网站仅上架部分难得一见的二手图书，这些图书仅限线上选购。店内还有大量物美价廉的二手书等您来淘，欢迎亲临选购，并支持我们的“续篇”计划。
