Next Weekend on-site Painting Courses will start on 15th June

Hope you are all doing well.

This is just to let you know that Guanghwa Bookshop has organised two more weekend in-house painting courses which will start on Sunday 15th June. There are two painting classes. One runs in the morning and the second one runs in the afternoon. Please see below for details of these two courses.

• Both these courses will run every Sunday for six weeks, the venue is at the bookshop, and we will provide the materials.

The cost for each painting course is £96

We also do a 'pay as you go' option at £18 each lesson.

Notice of Price Adjustment for Calligraphy & Painting Classes

• The Morning Painting Course - Session One 

• Beginner and Above Level 

• Time: 11:30 am to 13:30 pm

• Topics: How to paint Peonies, Lotus flowers, Clematis Flowers and Birds 

• The Afternoon Painting Course - Session Two 

• Beginner and Above Level 

• Time: 14:00 am to 16:00 pm

• Topic: Cats, Rabbits, and Squirrels 

• Dates: 15 Jun, 22 Jun, 29 Jun, 6 Jul, 13 Jul, 20 Jul.

• Painting Tutor: Mr Jian Chu Xu

Mr. Xu started to learn Chinese calligraphy in 1980 under supervision of late calligrapher Mr. Laoyun Yu who was a famous Chinese calligrapher. Mr. Xu is the chairman of the Chinese Poetry Calligraphy & Painting Society of UK, Honorary Principal of Shifu Art College of China. He received an excellence award in the Chinese calligraphy competition UK in 2011 and a special award in the international Chinese competition in 2014.
