Next Weekend On-Site Painting Courses will start on Sunday 13th September

Hello Everyone,

Due to the popularity of our painting courses, we are pleased to let you know that Guanghwa Bookshop has organised two more weekend on-site painting courses which will start on Sunday 13th September.
 
Please note: these are TWO DIFFERENT courses. One runs in the morning. One runs in the afternoon. You may enrol in either course independently, and each six-week course is charged separately.
 
Both these courses will run every Sunday for six weeks, the venue is at the bookshop, and we will provide the materials.
 
Course Fee Options:
Full six-week course: £96
Flexible option: £18 per session
Please note: the flexible option is for those who cannot commit to all six sessions. You will still need to book the dates and pay in advance to secure your place for the sessions you wish to attend. Drop-ins on the day are not available.
 
Morning Painting Course 
• Beginner and Above Level
• Time: 11:30 to 13:30
• Dates: 13 Sep, 20 Sep, 27 Sep, 4 Oct, 11 Oct, 18 Oct.
• Topics: How to paint Lotus Flowers and Egrets or Fishes, (荷花和白鹭或鱼) Nerium Oleander and Small Birds or insects (夹竹桃和小鸟或昆虫), Chinese Trumpet Creepers and Small Birds or insects (凌霄花和小鸟或昆虫)
The sequence is as follows:
• Lotus Flowers and Egrets or Fishes on 13 Sep and 20 Sep.
• Nerium Oleander and Small Birds or insects on 27 Sep and 4 Oct.
• Chinese Trumpet Creepers and Bees or Butterflies on 11 Oct and 18 Oct.
 
The Afternoon Painting Course 
• Beginner and Above Level
• Time: 14:30 to 16:30
• Dates: 13 Sep, 20 Sep, 27 Sep, 4 Oct, 11 Oct, 18 Oct.
• Topic: How to paint Starfriut Tree and Small Birds (杨桃树和小鸟), Banana Tree and Small Birds (芭蕉树和小鸟), Ginkgo Tree and Small Birds(银杏树和小鸟).
The sequence is as follows:
• Starfriut Tree and Small Birds on 13 Sep and 20 Sep.
• Banana Tree and Birds on 27 Sep and 4 Oct.
• Ginkgo Tree and Small Birds on 11 Oct and 18 Oct.
 
• Painting Tutor: Mr Jian Chu Xu
Mr. Xu started to learn Chinese calligraphy in 1980 under supervision of late calligrapher Mr. Laoyun Yu who was a famous Chinese calligrapher. Mr. Xu is the chairman of the Chinese Poetry Calligraphy & Painting Society of UK, Honorary Principal of Shifu Artqq1 College of China. He received an excellence award in the Chinese calligraphy competition UK in 2011 and a special award in the international Chinese competition in 2014.
