Three Days Painting Sessions on Sunday 7th, 14th, 21st December at Guanghwa Bookshop

Hope you are all keeping well.

Due to the popularity of our painting courses, we are pleased to let you know that Guanghwa Bookshop has organised three days Painting Sessions, on Sunday 7th, 14th, 21st December.

There will be two painting classes on each one of the above-mentioned dates. The venue is at the bookshop, and we will provide the materials.

Please see below details, dates, and times for each one of the painting classes:

• Sunday 7th December- The Morning Painting Class from 11:30 to 13:30
• Topic: How to paint Plum Blossoms (梅花).
( This painting class is suitable for Beginner and above Level ).

• Sunday 7th December - The Afternoon Painting Class from 14:30 to 16:30
• Topic: How to paint Jiangnan Water Towns, also called Canal Towns, are certain ancient and historic towns in China known for their bridges, rivers, and canals.( 江南水乡 )
- on a famous artist Wu Guanzhong's style - Session One
• Wu Guanzhong's depictions of water towns are not simply copies of natural landscapes, but rather, through refinement and abstraction, he pursues a fusion of formal beauty and artistic conception.
( This painting class is suitable for Beginner Plus Level ).

• Sunday 14th December The Morning Painting Class from 11:30 to 13:30
• Topic: How to paint Orchids (兰花)
 ( This class is suitable for Beginner and above Level ).

• Sunday 14th December - The Afternoon Painting Class from 14:30  to 16:30
Topic: How to paint How to paint Jiangnan Water Towns, also called Canal Towns, are certain ancient and historic towns in China known for their bridges, rivers, and canals.( 江南水乡 )
- on a famous artist Wu Guanzhong's style - Session Two
( This painting class is suitable for Beginner Plus Level ).

• Sunday 21st December - The Morning Painting Class from 11:30 to 13:30
Topic: How to paint Daffodils (水仙花)
This painting session is suitable for Beginner and above Level.

• Sunday 21st December - The Afternoon Painting Class from 14:30 to 16:30
Topic: How to paint How to paint Jiangnan Water Towns, also called Canal Towns, are certain ancient and historic towns in China known for their bridges, rivers, and canals.( 江南水乡 )
- on a famous artist Wu Guanzhong's style - Session Three
( This session is suitable for Beginner Plus Level ).

• The cost for each two-hour painting session is £18

• Painting Tutor: Mr Jian Chu Xu
Mr. Xu started to learn Chinese calligraphy in 1980 under supervision of late calligrapher Mr. Laoyun Yu who was a famous Chinese calligrapher. Mr. Xu is the chairman of the Chinese Poetry Calligraphy & Painting Society of UK, Honorary Principal of Shifu Art College of China. He received an excellence award in the Chinese calligraphy competition UK in 2011 and a special award in the international Chinese competition in 2014.
