Join us for a special evening with author Diya Wen, as she shares stories from her life, her writing, and the journey behind her essay collection.

Drawing from years of experience across media, storytelling, and life between cultures, Diya reflects on the everyday moments that shape who we are — the quiet struggles, the ordinary routines, and the people we meet along the way.

Diya will read from selected essays, reflect on the stories behind them, and invite a conversation about the universal themes at the book's heart: growing up slowly, loving in the everyday, finding meaning in the unremarkable.

Through personal anecdotes and thoughtful reflections, this event invites you to pause and reconsider the relationship between the self and the world, and how we each find our own path over time.

The conversation will be conducted primarily in Mandarin/Chinese, followed by a 10-15 mins Q&A session. But we'll keep things flexible throughout, and the Q&A and discussion are fully open to both English and Mandarin/Chinese. Please feel very welcome to ask questions, share thoughts, or jump into the conversation in whichever language feels most comfortable to you.

Books will be available for purchase and signing after Q&A on the night.

For event attendees, we are offering a 10% discount on all books, excluding consignment books, second-hand books, and on-sale books - if you have any questions, please do feel free to speak to a member of our staff.
